KLM creates virtual reality experiences for wannabe travellers

KLM has introduced a brand new experience, called iFly virtual reality (VR), that lets those wanting to travel take a virtual trip. 

KLM’s online platform, iFly KLM Magazine, now offers ground-breaking VR content to enable visitors to experience near-lifelike journeys. KLM wants to inspire people to travel and discover the world with the help of the latest technology.

Inspire your next trip

iFly VR captures some of the most beautiful places in the world in 360 degrees and is hosted by celebrity chef Kiran Jethwa, star of National Geographic’s The Fearless Chef and the British television station Channel 4’s Extreme Foods. In the first of three editions, Jethwa takes the viewers to the Thai jungle where he goes in search of the world’s most remarkable cup of coffee.

Very soon, iFly will produce travel videos that allow for 360-degree experiences, making it almost as impressive as real travel.KLM's iFly technology allows anyone to take a long journey from the comfort of their own home, allowing them to test the experience itself, before booking the real version of the trip with a travel professional.
