WestJet has announced that it has updated its fee structure, giving guests greater flexibility when booking a Flex or Plus Flexible fare.
From now on, there will be no fee to change or cancel domestic Flex fare bundle bookings. WestJet will also allow guests to make same-day flight changes during check-in for domestic Flex bookings, at no charge.
WestJet’s Plus Flexible fares will now also have a fully refundable option, with the airline eliminating the $50 fee to refund the original form of payment for all new Plus Flexible bookings. Along with no change fees for domestic bookings, guests travelling in the Flex fare bundle can take advantage of benefits like their first checked bag free and complimentary advance seat selection for regular seats.
“We are pleased to introduce our updated fee structure at the same time that we release our 2017-2018 winter schedule,” said Lyell Farquharson, WestJet vice-president, sales.
“With these new, flexible fees and our enhanced schedule, which includes significant increases in frequency of service and more convenient departure times, we’re able to offer an even better travel experience for both our business and our leisure travellers.”
