Cathay Pacific sells first-class fares at Economy prices...again!

Less than two weeks after it accidentally sold premium business and first-class flights from Vietnam to New York for $675 USD ($920 CAD), rather than the usual $16,000 USD ($21,815 CAD), Cathay Pacific has done it again: according to The BBC, on Sunday (Jan. 13), the airline posted trips from Hong Kong to Portugal for $1,512, instead of the $16,000 usually charged for a similar journey.

And, once again, according to reports, Cathay Pacific will once again honour those blunder fares.

In an email to PAX, Cathay Pacific said:

"We are aware of an error on some fares from Europe on our website because of an input issue. The sale of such fares was stopped immediately. We are looking into the root cause of this incident both internally and externally with our vendors. For the very small number of customers who have purchased these tickets, we look forward to welcoming you on board to enjoy our premium services."

On New Year's Eve when the first mistake occurred, the carrier acknowledged its “mistake” at the time and said it would welcome the passengers on board.
